I loves the piggy

Especially when the piggy is sweet and sour pork, and accompanied by chicken fried rice and won-tons :D
That's what we had for dinner last night. My girl needed a little cheering up so I gots her 'happy food' :D
Made me happy too.
We sat in front of the TV watching the amazing race while Oscar (my flatmate's new kitten) climbed all over furniture and windowsills hunting flies. The culinary treat that's also a game!

So this morning I bought a remote control helicopter with a wireless camera to attach to it! :D I think it'll be a wicked thing to play with, especially with the added bonus of the camera hehe.
I'm thinking about putting it up on trademe once I've received it just to see how much I can get for it on the NZ market because, I've seen the same model with less extras go for more than I'm paying for mine. Yea I know, always out to make a quick buck, but can you blame me?
I was also looking at getting some fashion jewelery from Hong Kong and reselling it but the sellers kinda annoyed me by 'not being accommodating' so I'm still thinking about that one...

Miss C has told me that she's got my valentines day present already! I hadn't even THOUGHT about it to be honest. I went and looked at places on the way home last night though, and have been scouring the net a bit today as well. Found a possible gift, would be really cool but I don't know if I can get it posted in time or not, will be coming from overseas you see. Most likely it will be fine so....

I've been wrangled into babysitting for my sister and my wonderful girlfriend is going to come along with me. She's wonderful like that. I guess that's why people just seem to like her so easily. She's a caring, wonderful, charming kind of person who even when she doesn't neccesarily FEEL at ease in a situation, gives the impression to those around her that she is which in turn puts them at ease and just makes you like her even more :D
I like her for more reasons than that though of course. She's beautiful on top of those things, she's sweet, honest, trustworthy, man, this is starting to sound like a personals ad....
most of all I think, she's a little crazy just like me. Always a bonus ;)

I bet she'll be blushing after reading this post hehehe.

Jim was talking to me just before about some Microsoft courses that are coming up shortly and he wants me to go on one or more of them. I was thinking, hell yea, why not, it gives me a day away from the office, I learn some new stuff and it breaks up the week. After I said "Of course Jim, anything for the company" he then told me that there's a bonus of a free copy of Vista Ultimate that I can pocket for myself :D That's not bad, a $950 freebie for little old me hehehe
Hopefully there'll be two of them that will be useful to my role and then I can get a copy of Office 2007 as well lol
I likes it when you finally start getting some of the job perks. Not quite a corporate box ticket to the sevens but damn close :)

So this afternoon has started looking up and I'm starting to have fun looking for Valentines day gifts. I likes buying presents for my girl. I likes getting her something special :D
Most of all I like getting her surprises, like Hello Kitty Roller Rescue hehehe

Thursday, 1 day to go

It's been a bit of a ho hum week, short as it has been I'm still looking forward to a bit of a sleep in on the weekend. That is as long as the neighbors aren't blasting their music at 8am like they have been for the past 3 weeks, we can only hope.

My Girl's still looking for a new job. Her current one is driving her round the bend. I know how it is, I can sympathize, I've been there, I know how it makes every thing suck and even the good things seem 'less' if you know what I mean.

Hang in there!

I got an ezibuy cataloug last night in the mail and made some impulse buys. I was good though. Firstly I selected EVERYTHING I was even remotely interested in and then I whittled it down to what I REALLY wanted. It should be delivered tomorrow with any luck :)
I also got a 'Conkers Live and Reloaded' T-shirt that I got free with my gameplanet reward points. It's actually pretty cool :)

So it's nearing lunchtime and I'm looking at going to the gym, trying to wake myself up a bit so I don't fall asleep. I've also got to think of something Miss C and I can do tonight...

Movie Review Time!

Okay so I've seen some great movies this weekend and thought I'd blog 'em :D

I'll start with Happy Feet.

Me and Miss C went to see this at the movies and it was great. There were plenty of laughs to be had and the animation was top notch.
The whole idea that every penguin has a 'heart song' was kinda funny. Every penguin has their own song which is what they sing, it's what makes them different. Some of the songs that had been chosen were really funny.
Anyway it's a whole 'feel good' story which doesn't really matter, in fact the whole story itself doesn't matter, it's pretty lame anyway. Its the laughs that make this movie great, helped in a big way by Robin Williams.
So yea, that's Happy Feet in a nut shell, I give it an 8/10.

Next on the list is Clerks 2.

Clerks 2 picks up shortly after Clerks left off. The Quick stop burns down and then you're transported a year into the future where things are happening. It's got lots of the same old characters, such as Jay and Silent Bob as well as some new ones.
If you loved the first Clerks then you'll love this one.
I won't go into to much detail except to say that yes, it's in colour this time and the extras on the dvd are definitely worth watching :) There's over half an hour of deleted scenes.
Another 8/10.

Last but not least is Hard Candy.

This was the best of the lot for me. It's a true psychological thriller, at it's best. The story starts out with a chat room scene, a girl and a guy messaging each other, and then they meet. Guy likes girl (who really is just a girl, only 14 years old, and he's 30ish), guy takes girl home, girl drugs guy, guy passes out, guy wakes up tied to a chair.
It gets worse from there on in, or better as I like to see it ;)
Great movie, great story, awesome characters.
It's one of those ones that you believe could actually happen somewhere, wometime (well maybe just in America but that's good enough) which is what makes it even more creepy.
I give it a 9.5/10.

So the rest of the weekend? well I had fun, I finished playing Rune, that was a great game. Still very playable, 5 years after it was made.
Miss C and I went to the beach, where I wasn't thorough enough with the sunscreen and have nasty sunburn on my left leg, it's going to look REALLY good :S

Apart from that we just had a lovely lazy weekend, it was great.
Good food, good company, good movies and good weather. What more could I ask for?

Here's some evidence of the beautiful day we had yesterday

So they want me to star in it, write the theme tune, sing the theme tune.....

My shoes rubbed my feet on the way to work and now I have sore feet. I think I caught it before they started to blister or anything but still.
Regardless of that though, today is a good day :D

It's another nice day out there, a gentle breeze, pleasant temperatures and the promise of sunshine soon.

My girl is happy too. She came round last night and had a few things going on but was generally ok, we talked, laughed and had fun (dirty people, you should be ashamed of yourselves, twisting my words into acts of deviant frolicking. Tisk tisk)

We went for a drive last night too, just for something to do, it was nice. I enjoy just doing nothing with my girl, even that brings me pleasure.

So on the weekend up at Miss C's place, I took some photos of the view. Yesterday when I was bored, I stitched them together to create some panoramic shots. Here they is:

I had a haircut last night too, it's nice and short again, perfect for weather like yesterday.

And on top of everything, It's friday today, precursor to a 3 day weekend. What more could you ask for!

Evo please :)

Here's just a short exert from the article on the new evo:

"Mitsubishi is promising the "largest leap in overall capability seen between two generations of this model" when the Evo X goes on sale late-2007 and early-2008."

Yes please.

Well another quiet night at home last night, cooked dinner, made a banana cake, started watching "Sympathy for Mr Vengeance" but that was about it.
Work yesterday? well it was just like any other day, not much exciting happened so not worth commenting on really. Yesterday's blog was boring enough, no point in a repeat performance.

Today the weather is beautiful. I went outside at lunch and read my book in the sun. There's not a cloud in the sky with juuuust a hint of a sea breeze, enough to stop you from overheating.

I like to read my book with my headphones on. They're full DJ style jobbies so they cut out a lot of the background noise with no music playing, I like reading without the distraction of background noise, the ADD tends to fuck with me a bit and makes it hard to concentrate in noisy environments.
In case you're wondering what I'm reading, it's Dean Koontz - The Face.

I'm looking forward to getting my haircut at 4 and enjoying the walk home in the sun :)

Short but sweet.

Get packing

I'm in clean up and pack up mode at the moment. I'm looking forward to moving in somewhere with my sweetness and have already started putting old books etc in boxes ready for the move. I'm even trying to get rid of stuff on trademe so i can lighten the load a little.
So that's what I've been doing lately, and it's been hot work. With weather that's already hot n muggy, doing lifting etc at the same time leaves you rather sticky :S

My poor girl's having a bad first day back. Her boss is an idiot, the jobs she's applied for haven't gotten back to her yet, I wasn't here at lunchtime when she needed me and we don't get to see each other tonight as she's catching up with her friend V.
I'm saving up the kisses till I see her again. So far I'm up to 78 and I only started counting today.

I went to the gym at lunchtime, I was worried that my fitness level had plummeted but I was perfectly fine. I didn't do any weights, instead I concentrated on the cardio seeing as how im in 'working off Christmas' mode I thought that was a good idea ;)

Almost home time now, looking forward to getting out of the office and stretching my legs. I wonder what crap I'll uncover when going through more stuff tonight...

Weekend in review

Well the first week of work was over and I was glad of it. It had to have been one of the longest weeks ever. By the time 12 o'clock came round each day it would feel like 4!
Nevermind.

So the weekend was nice, my sweetness came round on Friday night and we had China Grill, always a great way to end the week ;)
Saturday I mucked about in the morning and then went round to my girls place. We watched the Fear Factor episode with all the Miss USA contestants, it was alright, they liked to think that they were tough but they really weren't.
We had some yummy chicken nibbles and salad for dinner, man, they was gooood :D
We played some Katamari together, it was really fun. It's a mindless game but for some reason it's really fun, and addictive. You can even play 2 player games which is cool.

Sunday we didn't do much, my poor girl has a nasty cough that's kinda wrecking her time off, poor sweetness. She wasn't feeling up to doing much and I was wrestless so I left her to go to sleep and I went home to 'do something' only it turned out that I couldn't really do anything and just continued being restless for the rest of the day, really sucked.

And that brings us to today. Bit of a ho hum day, planning on going to the gym today, don't know how well I'll manage that, I seem to have little energy and am a little on the tired side. We'll see

It's another nice day, a bit windier than it has been but still warm and it's not raining so you can't really complain.

OK, the boss is back so now I have to make an effort, TAFNR, check back later.

Welcome to 2007, year of bacon, I mean of the pig...

Wow, a new year already. Last year just FLEW by. I hope it's not a sign of things to come. Could the elderly be right? do our days seem to get faster and faster with the years? Could we be doomed to the same fate as them?! to walk thru a world where everyone else wizzes around us as if they're chugging 12 espresso's an hour, buzzing like hummingbirds??

Back to a semblance of normality.

Well work is dragging this week, it's to be expected after a holiday but it's REALLY slow.

So Christmas, Christmas was good, the weather sucked but the people were great :)
It's a little early in the morning for detailing all the events so I will update this post as the day progresses.

That's all I can muster right now, hope you all had a great holiday and look for updates later on today.
