Movie Review Time!
Okay so I've seen some great movies this weekend and thought I'd blog 'em :D
I'll start with Happy Feet.

Me and Miss C went to see this at the movies and it was great. There were plenty of laughs to be had and the animation was top notch.
The whole idea that every penguin has a 'heart song' was kinda funny. Every penguin has their own song which is what they sing, it's what makes them different. Some of the songs that had been chosen were really funny.
Anyway it's a whole 'feel good' story which doesn't really matter, in fact the whole story itself doesn't matter, it's pretty lame anyway. Its the laughs that make this movie great, helped in a big way by Robin Williams.
So yea, that's Happy Feet in a nut shell, I give it an 8/10.
Next on the list is Clerks 2.
Clerks 2 picks up shortly after Clerks left off. The Quick stop burns down and then you're transported a year into the future where things are happening. It's got lots of the same old characters, such as Jay and Silent Bob as well as some new ones.
If you loved the first Clerks then you'll love this one.
I won't go into to much detail except to say that yes, it's in colour this time and the extras on the dvd are definitely worth watching :) There's over half an hour of deleted scenes.
Another 8/10.
Last but not least is Hard Candy.

This was the best of the lot for me. It's a true psychological thriller, at it's best. The story starts out with a chat room scene, a girl and a guy messaging each other, and then they meet. Guy likes girl (who really is just a girl, only 14 years old, and he's 30ish), guy takes girl home, girl drugs guy, guy passes out, guy wakes up tied to a chair.
It gets worse from there on in, or better as I like to see it ;)
Great movie, great story, awesome characters.
It's one of those ones that you believe could actually happen somewhere, wometime (well maybe just in America but that's good enough) which is what makes it even more creepy.
I give it a 9.5/10.
So the rest of the weekend? well I had fun, I finished playing Rune, that was a great game. Still very playable, 5 years after it was made.
Miss C and I went to the beach, where I wasn't thorough enough with the sunscreen and have nasty sunburn on my left leg, it's going to look REALLY good :S
Apart from that we just had a lovely lazy weekend, it was great.
Good food, good company, good movies and good weather. What more could I ask for?
Here's some evidence of the beautiful day we had yesterday
