Nothing to say. Except for this...

Well yesterday was ok I guess, Poor Miss C was off with nasty Asthma, she's got some steroids to fix her up now, she's gonna bulk up and get buff I think. Don't quite see how that will help with the asthma but hey, I'm no doctor.
So V went round and visited her while she was off, they talked about, well, all those things that girls talk about together. I got some random txt's from that, like "V says to say she called Andy Marcus during sex!" luckily the poor guy didn't hear her, that would have been awful.
That evening Miss C came round and we snuggled, it was good, I likes snuggling with her.

Today has been about the same, long morning, Gym, long afternoon.
I got the first of her Christmas presents delivered today! :D I think I'm gonna have to give her this one early because she'll just have so many opportunities (well a good few between now and Christmas anyway) to use it.
I also sorted out mum's perfume, kept my eye on a few trademe auctions and managed to get it for a steal! Gotta find some other things for her too. Haven't got anything for dad though, will have to keep working on that one...
I've actually come up with some pretty cool ideas for people this year though. For 4 cousins I'm making up 'Boxing day survivor kits' consisting of laminated name tag type thingees with lanyards and money in 'em for the boxing day sales. They're all of an age where you actually really like getting some money at Christmas for stuff that YOU wanted to buy. I'm going to design cool stuff for the pictures etc. Don't worry, if you don't get what I mean, I'll take pics of the progress so all will be revealed ;)
Also thought of a really cool idea for Granddad too. He's so into his model trains (still) so I thought I'd make a kitset with led lights etc so he can light the thing up to simulate nighttime :D I'll get all the parts he'll need and make a cool box for them to go in and paint it all up like a real model kitset that he can have fun setting up.
For Gran I've got an equally thoughtful present. I'm painting her a picture. She's always complaining that she doesn't see any of my art so now she'll have a piece all to herself.
And for My sis n Bro in law I'm putting together a whole cocktail pack, lots of things including a book of mixers etc. Kinda cool I though, Miss C seems to agree so it's all good :D

Having T with my sweetness tonight which will be nice, looking forward to getting out of here in about half an hour, it's a nice day out there.

Ooh, I need to get's me fireworks asap, don't want to miss out on that!
Looking good for the weekend, I hope the weather holds out, we're going to be on the boat out in the harbor for the fireworks display on Saturday, can't wait, it should be lots of fun :) Mee, Miss C and the olds out with a drink in hand watching the nightnight sky light up :)

I am the great cornholio!

Well It's monday yet again. I slept well and had a pretty good weekend.
Friday saw me meeting up with my sweetness at Jet bar for a drink with her and V while we waited for the rebound boy to turn up. We drank a little, talked a lot and then headed off to Salsa. I saw Sonya on Courtenay on the way, said hi to her, we picked up our water and then we were off again. Salsa was good, I remembered pretty much everything from last time so that was a bonus. I had fun dancing with my sweetness, the place was packed. Andy was a little out of practice and V didn't have the patience I don't think, they got there in the end though :)
Afterwards we headed off to red square but they were being arses about the dress code and some of our shoes didn't meet the grade. Snobby bastards. So it was back off to Jet for a wind down drink. Andy left early and then the girls analised Andy hehe.
I then got to drive Miss C's car thru to Tawa to drop V off and then back to C's place so she could pick up some stuff. We ended up going nowhere and I stayed the night there, it was nice.
Come Saturday morning we went off for brunch in town. We both had bacon and eggs on toast and it was goooood, just what we both needed.
The rest of saturday was a bit boring, until Miss C turned up again and then we had some fun again. The same thing could be said about sunday, we're looking for a new flatmate so had a couple of hours where we just had to hang around waiting for people to turn up, which only 2 people did. Sad. Then my sweetness came round again and although we were both a bit tired, we still seemed to enjoy each other's company :)

Well that pretty much brings everything up to date.

I saw a BIG box of fireworks at NW Metro this morning, I think that big box coupled with the OTHER big box available from the warehouse should put me in good stead for Christmas ;)
Yay for fireworks :D

Now I'm just waiting for my sweetness to come online so I can chat with her :)

Feeling awful? me too

Well last night was horrid. Suffice to say, last night was the worse night I've had in a long time. I made a girl cry, we'll just leave it at that.
Slept like crap, woke up tired, only feeling slightly better than I did last night.

Here's hoping the day improves, or at least passes quickly.

UPDATE:
Well there was the first night and then the next day we had another bad experience. I think it was mostly just circumstances, everything working against us. It wasn't nice at all. After having nothing but good experiences with my sweetness it really comes as a shock to have a bad one, or TWO even.
I can say that we talked it out and sorted it out. We're better than ever now (her words and I think she's spot on).

Do not be afraid for, I love you!

Famous words from a short stout little penguin who sounded suspiciously like Robin Williams...
So we had a flat meeting last night, well 3 of the 4 of us did anyway. I don't think either of the others really took any of it to heart, you know, the usual 'in one ear and out the other' syndrome. Oh well, time will tell. If worst comes to worst we'll stat up a roster. And if they can't even follow that then I'll just find somewhere else. Tired of putting up with it.

I'm having dinner with my sweetness tonight, for some reason that always puts me in a good mood. I can't for the life of me think why ;)

Listening to Evermore on the radio and my sweetness has just popped online to the words "I see the light surrounding you", and I do.

I got an email this morning about these cool adidas mi shoes they're essentially custom made running shoes. You can even customise the colours etc. Pretty cool. $299 is a little pricey though. Besides, I already have some nike free running shoes and they're pretty damn good.

Well the rain has dissapeared (kind of) and the wind has died down (at least in town) so I think the weather might actually be improving for the weekend. That would be nice.

Can you believe that people have already started putting up their Christmas lights? It's 2 months out 'to the day'. I think that's a little obsessive.

I just bought tickets for me and my sweetness to Evermore's concert at the San Fransisco Bath House.

Aaaaand, we're going to Salsa on Friday. Apparently Vic wants to meet up with Andy there. I think she wants to see if he's any good hehehe ;)
Apparently I'm good for a newbie so that's OK. It was fun last time so it should be fun this time too :)

Well this is a very bitsy post but I'm just blogging 'as it happens' so I don't care.
It's been a good morning so far and I only see the day getting better. Can't wait for dinner this evening, looking forward to seeing my love.

Well that's enough for now, gots to give my special girl something to read, apparently she likes reading my blog :)

I think I needs a happy juice...

Pancakes with Strawberries and cream mmmmmm

Well it's Tuesday, first day back to week after Labour Weekend and what a weekend it was.
Started the weekend off by heading up to the farm straight after work for dinner with the olds. It was nice n warm with the fire. We had fish and salad n potatoes. It was really nice with lashings of tomato sauce ;)
For desert we had some lovely afghans that the girl made and everyone loved them. Not surprising really. We watched 'A small Samoan wedding' which had some great bits.
We had a lovely evening and woke to an even better day on Friday. We liesurly made your way up the coast and stopped in at the outlet stores in Otaki. When leaving Otaki we both came away with some rather nice underwear, a new wallet each, and I had an extra couple of really nice shirts. Retail therapy and a road trip is a great way to start off a long weekend.
When we arrived at Waitareri beach I started to recognize lots of places. Miss C's family batch was really nice. It's having work done on it at the mo but it's a great size, plenty big enough for a whole family. It was very cozy with just her and me.
We drove around a little, looking for what used to be my family's old section but couldn't. I plan to look it up on google earth today and see if I cant spot it from the air.
We walked along the beach which was nice, weaving in between the tide marks and the blue bottle graveyards.
On Sunday we drove out to Palmy and I was shown her parent's place and her mum's church. Nice place, they even had a kiwi.
We then went to a really nice cafe for lunch. Miss C had a BLT and I had Nachos. We both had milkshakes too and they were brilliant! nice n thick and very tasty. The nacho's were great too. Another great meal with Miss C, I'm starting to think maybe it's the company that makes the food so good, it always seems to be good when I'm with her, much like everything else.
We did a bit of browsing in Palmy, me for books n such, Miss C for $50K diamond rings and books, not surprisingly she only came away with a book ;)
The rest of the weekend is a bit of a blur of eating naughty food n drink, topped off with long sessions of lying with my sweetness watching movies and generally just enjoying a weekend where neither of us had to do anything or be anywhere. Waitareri beach is the perfect place for that kind of get away too.

Highlights of the trip:
Getting Miss C a REALLY nice skirt as well as some nice white shirts (she looks really good in the skirt)
Seeing the family home n church
Spending an entire long weekend with Miss C all to myself
Talking with Miss C for hours
No really bad traffic anywhere

Low points of the trip:
Having ignorant Maori's spitting at the car when we drove along and forced an idiot and his family to 'get off the road and back on to the foot path' (stupid bloody ignorant inbred mother fuzer.....stupid ingra....)
A head on accident (don't think it was fatal but bad enough) at the Waitareri/SH1 intersection
Having to come back home to reality again
Having to let Miss C leave me when I did get home. (although she did come round again afterwards to get away from it all, but I still had to let her go again after that too )

I think that about covers it. Anything else that pops into my head will get added over the course of the day. I don't expect to be rushed off my feet so there's plenty of time for that.

Look at me mom! I'm on Southpark!

Hehe, I created my very own Southpark character. I call him "S-Dog"

Feels like a friday, ooooh yea

Well Thursday is here, last day of the working week for me. Come 4 o'clock and I'm outta here!
Off up to the farm and then on friday, up to the beach and away from the majority of civilization.
We packed up my bag last night as well as the projector and the Xbox so we can have some amusement when we get tired of, well, other things hehe.

Went out and played pool last night with Little Miss C, haven't done that for weeks so it was nice. It was reasonably quiet in there too. We had a couple of good games as well as a couple of stink games where it just took aaaages.

I'm heading over to Hallensteins today for their coupon specials, looking at getting a pair of pants, a pair of shorts, and shirt. All 15-20% off.
I think I'll get a nice shirt that's slightly too small for me. I find motivation like that is a good way to loose weight ;)

So I was watching youtube the other day and found this random gay asian guy's videos. It was kinda weird. His friend Abbe (a girl) came to stay with him and they've been blogging together. They're rather amusing as a couple but each of their individual youtube videos suck without the other.

I'm taking pictures of the construction outside my window and will hopefully turn it into a timelapse video eventually, could be quite cool.

Had a great time with my sweetness last night and looking forward to more good times to come :D

Bitsy bitsy I know but get used to it.

Viva le revelution!

Just another hole in the wall

This is really interesting, how a professor in india put a touch screen pc in a wall in a slum in India and the results.
Hole in the wall
experiment

Well worth a read

Yay for 4 day weeks!

Well it's a much warmer day today, so much so in fact that I'm wearing my illicit shorts :D
I've worn a proper shirt so I don't get bagged for being 'too casual' but there you have it.
And today I'm going out for lunch with my sweetness :D What a wonderful mid-day treat :D

So last night I played GTA for a couple of hours, watched an episode or SG Atlantis and then went to bed. I didn't even have a proper dinner, go figure. I'm feeling a bit more refreshed today which is a good thing, with only today and tomorrow left of this working week, I want to be 100% ready for a long weekend :D

Oooh, found out one of the flatmates is moving out on the 10th of next month. She's a bit of a dits so I wonder if she realizes that her name is on the lease and she's responsible for finding someone to fill the room or else she has to pay the rent until someone is found. Silly girl, time will tell.
And now the other female flatmate is jumping up and down with a mischievous look on her face going 'ooooh! can I have her room?!"
I'm reasonably happy with my room so I don't really have a problem with that.

Oh how life flows along, it continues to move regardless of whether we want it to or not. Ebbs and flows.

Yay! No Taupo for me!

It was looking like I was going to have to go up to Taupo for 3 days next week to do a talk but now it turns out I don't!
Thank God for that, I didn't really want to go, especially since it'd mean getting up at 6 on Wednesday to DRIVE up to Taupo. Not my idea of fun. Plus of course there would have been the whole, missing out on spending time with my sweetheart too, that's a DEFINITE no-no.
We've been spending lots and lots of time together recently, doing? well not much of anything last night anyway but regardless of what we're doing, spending time with her is great, it's my favourite thing.

I got drenched on the way home last night, the rain was freezing and the temperature plummeted when I got home. I had to hunt out my heater even!
I played a few hours of GTA San Andreas, did a mission where I was supposed to rob a convenience store but some cowboys on quad bikes beat me to it so I had to chase them down on my own quad bike and get the money back. Then there was a race but I flipped the car and that was the end of that one.

The weather is looking much improved today and I'm looking forward to 4.15 again when I can go home. How bad is that.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the week, lunch with my sweetness tomorrow, driving up to the farm on Thursday for dinner with the olds and then carrying on up to Waitarere beach on Friday for a long labour weekend. Looking gooooood.

Oh my friggin God. I was just typing this post when I noticed one of the websites that was being viewed over our network. It was cryingwhileeating.com
WTF???
That was 'Porno-Pearce', the resident weirdo who's likes are 'bad (old) horror movies', sounding educated and worldly (even though he's not) and pulpneo-conservative books written by Russians of French men. His dislikes are, the word 'moist', green apples and people who don't understand the socio-ecconomic reasoning behind the 'hugging strangers for warmth' movement.
He's a nut job.
Even Mohamed with his dirty hobo unshaven face (but shaved head) look that he's got going on.

I'm Dr Nick, without the D, or the r..... or the N

There I was sitting in the sun drinking a beer, while my poor girl was stuck at home going stir-crazy. I feel like an insensitive idiot.
She's going through post op issues and I wasn't even there to chat with her.
I read her blog and it wasn't very happy.
I hope I can at least cheer her up some this afternoon and make her smile. I love to make her smile and I can't help it but it does make me feel bad when she's not happy.
Even when it's not my fault I feel bad. I guess that's just love.
Actually being attached to someone so much that you share their feelings, the good and the bad.
No, love is WANTING to be there for them, to share those times in the hopes that you can make them somewhat less crappy.

Nein Koppenhagen. Das sucks :(

Well I missed out on the ZM competition to win a trip to Koppenhagen for the MTV music awards. Sucky. I rang and I rang and I rang but this little engine couldn't. It went to some "Chick", typical ;)

Well I got home last night, went to NW, got home, had some surimi and then fell asleep at about 7.30 It was crazy. I didn't wake up till 6 this morning either, nothing was waking me up.
I think I've been overdoing it with going to the gym but not getting enough sleep, doesn't really mix.
Or maybe, no, couldn't be.... could it? Maybe they put something in my surimi!
Oh god, I never checked to see if I'd been tagged with a tracking device. What if they probed me?!
Oh God! I feel violated. I've got to run across the street for some tinfoil, I've got to make an 'anti brain scan' hat! Before they start downloading my ideas and thoughts! No!!!!! My precious ideas!

Sometimes the French just do it better.

Yes, truly, the French do do some things better than anyone else. I mean, the most obvious thing has to be kissing. It's not the Arabic Kiss, or the Zulu Kiss, no. It's the French Kiss. And I think we can all agree it's one of the greatest inventions of modern man.

Today I also learnt about French nails and how they differ from regular ones.
Yes it's been that much of an exciting day.
At least it's Thursday. Did my last gym session for the week so I can now relax. Oh and it will be good to be able to read my new magazine at lunch tomorrow. It's just been sitting there, taunting me with its pictures and technological wonderments hidden within it's cover.

I went round to Miss C's place for dinner last night, it was a very nice evening.
Started off with a coke, some conversation and then a lovely dinner of rice, fresh salad and some nice marinated chicken. Went down a treat.
That was followed a wee while afterwards by some really nice strawberrys.

Later on we actually got into a little Singstar! Up until last night I was a Singstar virgin so it was a bit of a laugh. She thoroughly whooped my ass but we were both laughing so much.

Miss C then decided that we would go drop my car off at my place and then go for a bit of a drive in hers. We ended up having a bit of a street race, seeing who could get to my place first. We took alternate routes once we reached town and I managed to beat her by at least 1.5 seconds. The stupid lights turned on me part way through though, very disappointing ;)
Then it was off round the bays and we parked up and talked some more.
All in all a very nice evening.

So I think that brings you up to date, nothing exciting happening today
In the world, yesterday a man was injured at a gym in Auckland when a leg extension machine broke and 300kg of weights fell on him, a plane crashed into a building 'somewhere' in America, 'apparently' terrorism is not suspected...

and that's about it.

A working weekend?

Oh silly me. There I was thinking I had nothing to blog about and I just thought, oh yes I do!
Me and Miss C are going up to her parents holiday home for a long labor weekend :D exciting! Another long weekend away with my sweetness is just what the doctor ordered i think :)
Looking forward to that I can tell you.

All about the benjamins

I'm looking at other 'creative' outlets at the moment, one being a keyboard, the other being drawing/sketching. I already have a drawing tablet for the pc so I think I'll set that up on my pc again and get back into that, it's really fun sketching on digital paper, once you get the hang of it it's really fun.
The keyboard is something I'm really wanting to get into but unfortunately it's one of those creative outlets that requires some serious money. Most of the keyboards I'm looking at are around the $1000 mark, not exactly spare change and with a hire purchase to finish paying off it's not really something I should be buying . I remember I actually started getting into the Piano, much more than the guitar anyway. I guess that shows too. I bought a guitar last year and started learning it (again) but haven't touched it in months. I was always just 'better' with the piano. Oh well, If I sell enough of the junk I've got lying around who knows.

So yea, I was getting complaints that I hadn't posted so I thought I'd better do something about that ;) Not really complaints but apparently someone likes reading my blog...
I just don't want to post when I don't really have anything to say. But then again, that's never really stopped me in the past.

The girl is getting better in leaps and bounds, is even going to try her hand a driving today, something she hasn't done since she had the op. Hopefully that will all go well and she'll have her independence back and be able to get out of the flat. Otherwise I get the feeling that she's going to go crazy with cabin fever soon.

It's another beautifully sunny day today, a bit more wind than yesterday but Ican handle that, as long as it's nice n warm in the sun that's all I need.

Still undecided if I'll be going to the gym again today, my legs r a bit sore but I feel the need to go 4 days a week, and I don't really want to be going in the weekend, or even friday for that matter.
The legs will get over it and so will I.
Toughen up slacker.

So youtube was acquired by google for $1.65 BILLION dollars. That sounds really great but to put it into perspective, trademe sold for over $700 million, and that's only a New Zealand thing, not a worldwide phenomenon. Still, at the end of the day, if you were to offer me $1.65 billion I don't think you'd be hearing the words "Well that's nice but I was expecting a little more..." I think the only sounds you'd be hearing would be a 'uuuuughghhhhhh' and the little pitter patter of the drool dripping from the corner of my mouth.
Imagine the keyboard I could get with $1.65 billion.....

Shawshank Redemption is not a chick flick!

They were reading out the top 10 chick flicks that guys will like and Polly added that Shawshank Redemption was one. It is NOT a chick flick! Ok, I'll give them When Harry Met Sally, that's a given and I'm not ashamed to say I actually own that one on DVD. I likes it, so sue me. But Shawshank?! Not a chick flick.
Silly radio people. They live in another world parallel to our own.

So I got to go for a short visit to my girl last night, she had perked up a bit by the time I got there but all day she was having a tough time. She was feeling isolated and all alone and neither of us liked it much at all.
I didn't want to go to the gym 'cause I felt like I was abandoning her but I really felt like I needed to :( So I tried to make up for that by taking round a bunch of dvd's for her to watch and a few brand new movies. I even managed to hunt out Invader Zim for her, I found the box in 5 minutes but it took ages to find the actual DVD's which weren't actually in the box. I hope it helps her today.

So I was cleaning up my 'crap' yesterday and realized I've still got a log of crap to get rid of. I think I'll have to put a few auctions up on trademe, get rid of the stuff I no longer use at all, like the weight bench, a bunch of DVD's, clothing etc.

Man, what a boring post.

"Noupa for you!"

Spring has come, and gone again...

What a day on sunday! The weather was beautiful, it was HOT out and there wasn't much wind, well at least for the morning anyway. And now we're back to crap weather again today .

So! The weekend.
Well it all started with a delivery on saturday morning, I then waited for Miss C to wake up so I could go round and hand deliver it. I knew that she would have flowers in hospital so I didn't get her any then, instead I got 2 dozen roses delivered so she could have them in her room at home. I even bought a vase to put them in :D
She rather liked them I think, she wrote about them in her blog, usually a good sign ;)
And for the rest of the afternoon I played GTA San Andreas, I've gotten hooked on it again and I'm going to play it through to the end this time. Just started gang wars in the game which always gets a bit involved.
That evening I went round to Ben and Annabels for a few drinks and to pick up a HDD full of TV goodness :D oooh I likes. I have to copy it for Miss C too so she has something to stave off the insanity that comes from being stuck at home with a short attention span thanks to the uncomfortable healing. Sounds weird, 'uncomfortable healing'. Anyway...

The yesterday, it was such a glorious day, I even put my new illicit shorts on, they're so cool.
I washed the car and then went round to spend some time with Miss C again, she was looking much cheerier and awake. I was there for almost 4 hours but the time just flew by.
I was rather tired from the late night (or early morning depending on which school of thought you subscribe to) but I ended up going to sleep at about 11 and I'm rather tired this morning, hence the lack of imagination of the post. Nevermind, what are you looking at this for anyway! you should all be working! well apart from Miss C of course. Morning sweetness hehe

Make Love not Warcraft

Yay! a new season of Southpark has started and the first episode is available already! :D

Groggy Love

So I got a txt at about 7.45 last night from my sweetness saying I could go and visit her.
I went round and she was looking surprisingly good. She said she was groggy but she just looked tired, it only took about 15min and she was ready to drop off again.
I was really glad to see her and to see that she was perfectly alright.

OK, this is weird, on ZM they're getting people to ring through to say which person from the morning crew would they have pee on them if they got stung by a jellyfish.
Very, VERY strange.
Just in case you wanted to know, Grant won, apparently only because Polly can't "shee-pee". She has no aim. I didn't need to know that.

Tick-tock, tick-tock

Well Miss C will have been in for about an hour now, could be finishing up any time from now I, could still be an hour or so though.

The gym was tough, not particularly motivated today so I struggled to even do 45min. Nevermind, that'll do for the week, the weekend is for relaxing anyway.
Guess my mind's on other things, not that it's all that big a deal, I know she'll be fine, I know she'll bounce back really quickly but you know.

Thank goodness there's only an hour to go, I think it's going to be an early one tonight, I'm tired.
Done enough work for one day anyway.

Tick-tock, tick-tock

It's gonna be a loooooong day folks

Well today is the day Miss C goes in for her "thing" and so I'll be waiting all day for her txt. I know she doesn't go in till this afternoon but I'll be thinking of her all day (hey nothing new there).
Well I'm glad I put on my thick coat this morning, it started hailing on the way to work, lovely spring weather. Bring on the sunshine for the weekend.
To make my point it feels like I've been at work for hours but it's actually only 8.23am. I haven't even been here for a full hour

Well it's now 10.36 and the day's not going quite as badly as I had imagined.
I spoke to Miss C earlier on this morning on MSN and she was in good spirits, enjoying the fact that she was still at home on a thursday morning, with the fire going, cuddled up in bed with her laptop. She's in good spirits today and I'm glad of that.
I went ahead and organized one of her surprises this morning, all ordered and will be delivered to Me (yes ME not her!) some time on saturday.

The fundy is up here getting Alan to copy her a DVD, I asked what it was and it's some fundy tv show thing. And now she's trying to convert Alan!
"But what if there was a hell? where would you like to go?!"
So Alan then told her a joke about a programmer who went to heaven, and then she said "So you WANT to go to heaven right"
OH NO! Alan just made the ultimate mistake! He just said he doesn't believe in the lord! Oh no, she's not going to stop! Oh nooooooo!
They're debating it now! the bible, the ten commandments, the whole 9 yards!
Turns out Alan is a lying, cheating, blasphemous, adultering sinner.

Oh no! I'm being drawn into a theological discussion! Doesn't she know I'm a Master Bater, no, wait, maths debator? Good at arguing!

Pay it back in kind

I've just gotten back from the gym to find Miss C had blogged again today but this time it wasn't so happy.
She's just not a happy girl, everything's just added up to be too much and she's not my happy smiling girl today..
I want nothing more than to put a smile on her face and see that radiant, beautiful girl I love so much.

Well today has gone from great this morning to less than ideal this afternoon. My poor girls not happy which by association makes me not happy. That isn't to say "she makes me unhappy" but I'm unhappy for her. No confusion there people, ok?!

So I think I'm going to organize YET ANOTHER surprise for my sweetness, something that she can have as soon as she gets home from her ordeal (but not before!)
Hope that'll cheer her up some. I still have to pick up some of the stuff I need for the other surprise I was planning for her. I can get that on the way home and start working on that tonight. There's another thing too but I'm not even going to let on about that one...

Lookie at what my girl got me yesterday!

It's pretty bleak out there today :(

insert witty title here

Well yesterday didn't actually start till about 11am. Yes, a late start I know, made even stranger by the fact that I was actually up at 6.20am...

It started at 11 because of the special secret sneaky-sneaky package Miss C sent me. I thought that was special enough but when she came round last night she had ANOTHER little Chinese takeaway box surprise. I opened it to find a wicked titanium ring! And that in itself would have been enough but the damn thing fit like a glove, or ring, as it were.

Apparently I tried on a ring in Christchurch and it fit (I don't remember!) and Miss C then put it on her thumb to see how big it was and THATS how she gauged what size she should get!
Sneaky-sneaky!

So at about 6.30 my day had just gone from strength to strength and I thought it was pretty damn good.
Buuuuut, we still had the surprise dinner that she had organized!

We started driving and it ended up looking like we were going to my work, but no, not quite, we pulled up outside POD.
I've not actually been into POD before, not even for a lunch so I was looking forward to experiencing a dining experience outside our usual group of restaurants.
To start off with the atmosphere was great, it was warm, stylish and there were copious tea candles dotted around the restaurant for lighting, very nice, semi-intimate affair.

We started out with the bread and dips as a starter.
The bread was home made, light, fluffy, slightly sweet, and an almost creamy texture. The dips were a sweet capsicum with a hint of chili and a light green dip which could have been a very light blue cheese dip or something completely different. It was rather non descript but did have chives in it. They were very nice and set the tone for the rest of the meal.
Miss C then had the Veal on potato mash with some kind of lovely reduced sticky sauce which was very nice.
I had the eye fillet steak on a kumara cake and silverbeat and it was great too.
The servings were generous but they weren't stupidly massive like places like Lone Star where most normal people don't have a hope in hell of finishing their meals.
We left having had an enjoyable meal. We drove back to my place and just 'hung out'. It was nice to have a meal out and then just a quiet evening. It was probably the last night out for a little while as Miss C recoups over the next couple of weeks so it was really nice that the evening went so well.

So that was my wonderful evening last night!

So today it's rather wet and windy outside, not the nicest of days. I'm at work, waiting for my sweetness to get in, trying to finish off this blog before she gets in :D

Hopefully this evening I'll be able to pay a little call on Ben and pick up my 'drove full of goodies' hehehe goooooodies.

And with that I finish my blog post and my drinking yoghurt.

Lub wu lon tai!

Well I had just gotten out of a health and safety meeting (yes I know, I live on the edge, my life is just one extreme adventure to the next) and low and behold there is a parcel sitting on my desk, a rather brightly colored parcel I might add. I only had to look at it to know it was from my C.

Inside was a veritable treasure trove of goodies. There was lemonade popsicle flavoured water, coke, pockey, a decision dice, a slinky (and not a cheap knock-off, a really cool slinky) and a little Chinese take away box full of nougat.
I'd say that pretty much made my day, and to think there's still a special evening planned tonight as well, oh the mind boggles :D
"Definitely a keeper" pops into mind.

She's inspired me to get some of the stuff I need for HER surprise and try and get that sorted.

And just to prove that I couldn't get any more daring, I'm going to a sale at Farmers on Thursday to buy some socks!
At least I have a dice now to make my exciting decisions for me, from now on my life will be based on going on pub crawls, seeing movies, going out to dinner and throwing parties.

Well, other new for the day includes Illicit's new store in Wellington to be opened some time in November, that's pretty cool. I hope they have some opening specials because I want more of their stuff!
Also the Amish are now being targeted, apparently in the future they will be a forced to be reckoned with so an assassin was sent back in time to kill some Amish before they could become a threat.
Also, gas turbines the size of a $2 coin will be powering our laptops in 2-5 years. So now we'll be complaining about the cost of running our laptops AS WELL as our cars.

Oooh, and a remote control plane equiped with a video camera and a headset so you can see from the planes point of view and when you move your head around the camera moves too! like you were up there! Don't understand? click the link!

Gimme more of that sweet sweeet daylight

Well with daylight savings kicking in yesterday we've got longer days and brighter nights. It wasn't even all that hard getting up at what would have normally been 5.30 this morning.
OK granted it.s not exactly a very appealing day out there today but at least it's warm and really, who wants a brilliantly sunny day when you're stuck working inside anyway?
Wow! This is a REALLY boring post huh? Perhaps I need some dancing hula girls or something?
Ooh, mini tornado's ripping off roofs in South Auckland. Nope, that doesn't do it either.
Ooh I know, how about a video of Ligers?!

Ligers are cool. I want one!
OK, I really have to learn to not blog when I really have nothing to say.
Had a great friday evening with Miss C, went shopping with her yesterday and played some leisurely games of pool, another great weekend.
That's all I really have to report.
