The Children of Man, or 'Manchild' if you will
So we went to The Children of Man last night and it was a great movie.
It was all about humanity, 20 years from now, a bleak future where women have become infertile and the world is pretty much left in ruins and the degrading society that lives in it is fast running out of time in a self destructive spiral of despair.
Basically there's one pregnant woman left on earth and she's pretty much 'a modern day miracle' and these people are trying to get her to a drop off point for a group called 'The Human Project' who are going to whisk her away to safety and save humanity.
It's a great movie, with some dark humour and some great acting. A very engaging movie that we both really enjoyed. It wasn't a movie where you were sitting through parts waiting for something good to happen, it gripped you from the begining and you were watching it all intently.
After the movie Miss C came back to my place for a little while for a cuddle and random conversations (2 of the things we do best) and then left so she could get to bed at a respectable time for a monday.
A great evening if I do say so myself.
It's a beautiful day out there today, I might try to get the tire changed on my bike and go for a ride this afternoon, it's certainly nice enough for it.
Other than that I have nothing but painting planned for this evening. My sweetness is going to accompany her V to Scopa for dinner. It's actually just an excuse for V to perv on the hot guy who works there but we'll just keep that on the down low ;)
