Monday, Monday

Well Monday has rolled around again and the weekend dissapeared all too quickly. Friday night was a quiet night in with Miss C.
She came round with a surprise for me. She'd been feeling down all day and thought she had been taking it out on me (which she really hadn't) so she gave me something that was meant to be a Christmas present. I got some DKNY cologne, it's really nice, a bit 'sweeter' than Jean Paul but I think I likes it even better. She also picked up some Lanyards for me which are part of a Christmas present I'm organising which was just the cherry on top for me :D. I felt bad so I gave her a couple of things I had as Christmas presents. It was a great evening of gift giving :D.
For dinner we got's our favourite China Grill takeaways, Chic Fli Lice wid Sweet n Saar Pok and some won tons on the side. It was a glorious meal accompanied by the movie "The Benchwarmers" which actually turned out to be much better than I expected. It was a good evening followed by bouts of falling asleep.

Saturday was good too. Miss C had picked up yet ANOTHER thing for me, a box of Fraise. At $10 a bottle I thought it was a pretty sweet deal really. After a lazy start we drove round to L&R's to drop off some fireworks, wine n old clothes, oh and to see the olds and Little A too of course ;)
That was a nice lazy afternoon, we sat around, there was a lot of talking about nothing in particular.
We then came home, went to the boat and then all walked to Satay Kajang for some Malaysian for dinner.
One of these days I will learn not to order the satay, rice n roti combination. It never EVER all comes at the same time. This time I got roti and rice, which by themselves isn't a very appetising meal, and by the time the satay came out they were cold. Never mind, it was still good and filled me up nicely. Little A was entertaining with his Mee Goreng, stuffing them into his mouth with both hands.
We then all walked back to the boat for drinks and fireworks.
The display this year was really good, especially the finale, it looked like a giant willow tree. The explosions were great and the lights were amazing. It was especially nice to be cuddled up next to my sweetness while watching them.
We then retired home and got an early night, a couple of nana's we are.

Sunday Miss C had to go up to Palmy to go through all her stuff as her parent's are moving. It took her a lot longer than she anticipated but it's all done now. She also picked up some stuff from Ezibuy for me which was great :) she's very good about things like that, always offering, always wonderful really.
For me Sunday was a day of getting nothing much done.
I kept touching up the sky in my painting, did some laundry, plated some GTA: SA but that was about the sum of things.
Miss C came back round after she'd driven back from Palmy, we snuggled and that was the way my weekend ended.

So yea, not a very productive weekend but for the most part very enjoyable.
Is it bad that I'm looking forward to the next weekend already? It's only just gone 11am and I'm already wanting the week to be over. Oh dear....

I got into work this morning, tired and without my savory scone from NW, I think someone was as tired as I am and hadn't done the baking on time this morning.
I got a nasty headache just after getting in too, I think I'll attribute that to the absence of my scone.
Damn you hung over NW bakers! Look what you've done!
At least the bakers at NW Thorndon got their act together and my sweetness is munching down on one as I type.
I think I need an apple....
