What's better than going to see a movie?

Going to see a movie for free of course!

So the weekend was pretty damn great. I spent all of it, from Thursday evening even, with my sweetness. We had her flat all to ourselves you see so it was nice to just
play house and have a very relaxing weekend.

Friday night was great, we did a bit of late night shopping at Jonsonville, I picked up a pair of pants and a shirt and Miss C picked up a couple of very nice tops. After that we went and got some supplies for the weekend ahead, we were on a bit of a health trip so it was mostly just healthy stuff like peanut M&M's, gourmet jelly beans, choc milk, you know, really healthy stuff. Then on the way home we got Chinese takeaways and they went down a treat. We watched When Harry Met Sally, a classic which Miss C hadn't ever seen. It finally gave her some reference to the whole 'I want pepper on my poppycosh' line, not that I think it's really any clearer. Just as well I never used the 'I would like to partake of a piece of your pecan pie...

Saturday we went out to Petone for some shopping and brunch. We brunched at Caffeind and had bacon and eggs. We both really enjoyed them and I got inspired by some of their paintings they had on display. They've often got some really nice art pieces on display there that you can peruse at while munching on some foods.

After brunch we went to Briscoes and then for a perusal of Davis Trading.
After THAT we went out to Farmers on Cuba and checked out the new Illicit store, kind of cool, not quite as cool as the Christchurch store though.
No sooner had we gotten back from that little excursion that I got a TXT from the X saying I could go round and pick up Audrey. We raced on back into town and picked her up and dropped her back at my place, all cozy like :)

When we got back to Miss C's she taught me some more salsa moves, I picked them up reasonably quickly but was still feeling a bit self conscious to go to the salsa ball with her that evening. It was fun practicing with her any way :) and now I knows a few extra moves ;)

That evening my girl prettied herself up (and boy was she looking pretty) and left to go dance up a storm.
I stayed behind and watched the tube, painted a little, did some stuff on the puter and generally veged out.
It was 12 by the time my sweetness got home and we had both had a fairly good evening, made even better to the fact that both of us were looking forward to the fact that we'd be falling asleep in each others arms again.

Sunday was a particuarly lazy day, we didn't get out of bed till late and then sat on the couch with the left over food (and some FABULOUS sweet chilli bread from Brumbies) and watched Breakfast at Tiffany's.
We both laughed at the chased kisses and the 'old school' humour.
It was great.

Then the 'other' flatmate came home so we departed for my place. We sat there for a little while and said our goodbyes and then she went home. We both did some washing and other fairly mundane things, both painted a bit more, wound down in anticipation of the working day that waited just around the corner.

And after a short sleep, the brings us up to the here and now.

I managed to sneak out of the office just before 11 to pick up some free tickets to a preview screening of 'Children of Men' tonight for me and my sweetness. Looking forward to it as it looks like it could be a great movie :D

And now I'm here, typing up this entry.

Dad just messaged me before saying 'something's happened' and for some reason my mind just started expecting the worst, someone's been in an accident, something like that. Turns out the something was IE opening new windows as tiny little screens rather than normal windows. Meh.

And that's all for now, will write up a little review of the movie tomorrow, hopefully it will be a rave review.

Getting close to lunchtime and I feel like I need it.
